everything works perfect , and the price. is fantastic. 250 dollars is a deal , if you have the room dont buy the 10 or 12 inch models. get this one
Even cheaper than HF and shipping is free.

WOW!!!! A lot more than expected with the work lite AND the lazer centering lite. Just make sure you GREASE everything. Pretty dry. Operates smooth and feels pretty substantial

This drill press exceeded all of my expectations.
I went to various machine tool dealers locally including Harbor Freight, and all any of them had were either products that were too expensive or had little quality (or lack thereof).
When I went to harbor freight and examined the drill presses there, I immediately knew what to avoid, everything from HF
So after lots of local searching and wasted time, I went looking online for an affordable version of the machine I was looking for. Surely enough I found this drill press that was similar to one of HF's drill presses, but it had far better ratings online everywhere, it was made from better parts and materials, and had more features all for a lower price than the s*** version that HF had. So I bought this one, and when it came a week later (for free prime shipping) I was surprised to find that it was really easy to assemble (I had assembled smaller drill presses in the past). After assembling the drill press I set it up and ran it through its paces, to find out that it runs perfectly and is built to last. All expectations exceeded!!!
There is a thing or two you need to be aware of:
When it comes to you there are parts of the shaft that are I bit dry, so I would purchase some axel grease and a grease gun so that you can get to the parts that require some greasing. (which doesn't cost all that much)
Also, if you don't have a place to bolt the machine down to, add something to hold it down like a sandbag or some gym weights on the base plate (25 lbs. will work just fine).
Overall this drill press is perfect, it just has the problem of inadequate greasing upon arrival. Which (if you ask me) isn't that big a deal and doesn't affect the rating of this drill press at all.
Better price, better shipping, better quality, better everything!!!
5 stars all the way, 10/10!!!
~EDIT~
I looked through the reviews and saw a couple of bad ones, but rest assured...
if you experience any problems upon arrival, I'd say you were just purchasing the right thing at the wrong time. Because I didn't experience any problems apart from inadequate greasing.
As one person said, it must've been a manufacturing error or something like that and they also said the chuck was a bit too small and the quality of half the parts was poor, but for me, that wasn't the case. Based on what they're saying, I think it can just be rotten luck with quite a few things.
One person said the packaging was severely damaged and half the parts were practically destroyed during shipping, but I think because it was handled by USPS (like this one person said) and/or FedEx (if lady luck gives you the finger).
I think this just has to do with luck
Because when it came to my door UPS shipped it, and the box didn't appear to have anything wrong with it. the only packaging flaw that I saw was just some oversizing in the space of styrofoam were the chuck was placed and it fell underneath the machine in the box, but the chuck and the machine weren't by any means damaged at all and the chuck wasn't too small (extremely snug fit in the machine). the only problem I have with the chuck (which I only have with assembly) is straitness when hammered in, it's an incredibly easy fix though.
Overall with machine tools like this (especially with brands that aren't well known), it can occasionally be the luck of the draw, and (if that being so) in my case I was extremely lucky.
hopefully, this review is really helpful in your decisions
