I was not able to use this to interface with the plug in my SUV. It did not fit the plug.
Remove your phone case so the jack attachment fit tightly in your phone.

I have a mercedes ML 350 2010. At first it did not work for me so like many of you I was disappointed because the charger worked but I could not hear anything coming out my radio, so I took my car to the car dealer to see if they had an attachment that will work with my iPhone 6s and this adapter. They removed my iphone case and it worked perfectly. I am able to listen to my podcasts on my hour commute on my way to work. Just got it a few days ago so so far so good.
