This item was a very great buy. I donated this to my Parish for when there were more than one Lector reading during the last three Sundays of Lent. It is adjustable and therefore worked for both tall and short Lectors. My Pastor was very happy when he received it.

It's a beautiful Lectern. When assembled it is sturdy. Careful when you open the box... Open it properly and you will have very little Styrofoam cleanup. Work out of the box when you unwrap the pieces to keep the potential mess within the large box. The assembly directions didn't work for me very well but I figured it out easily enough. It is worthy of the price and I am proud to stand behind it when I read my short stories to the audience.

Quality product. Attractive, a handsome Mission style. Not flimsy at all. For me, walnut shade is spot on. Construction fairly straightforward. I would advise that you make sure that the two post sections are correctly aligned while assembling. At first mine were slightly off and I had to loosen things up and spin one post around, although that's being perfectionistic. I did have trouble with the top, never did get the top completely flat on the post, a slight gap. But again perfectionistic. Not at all noticeable nor does it affect the sturdiness. For the price unbeatable. I use it as a dictionary stand, a perfect height for that. One of my better buys. Recommended.
