This sub is loud and sounds great for what it is. I have it on 1200w in a 2.5cuft box tuned to 35hz. I shouldve went slightly smaller on the box since im powering it over rated. And tuned lower. On lows on certain songs if I dont mind my gain it will hit mechanical bottom. I have my amp gain matched to the head unit. And havent left much head room. So i drop the knob in my dash to bring the level down a bit. Usually only happens when the amp clips if im not paying attention when the song switches. Over all though its a good woofer. I wish the push terminals were bigger though. Going to upgrade to 2 Zv5 18s or Psi plat5's here before long on 7 to 8k. So this is temporary boom boom.
Subs is a good choice for a single cab running at 1 ohm ...

Subs is a good choice for a single cab running at 1 ohm in a 12" ported qbomb box with a 12" to 10" fiberglass reducer ring in 2014 Silverado very little room plan on going to a pair of D4 shallow subs at one ohm instead would rate this at 4.1 stars amp is fosgate prime 1200.1

Subs are great . Turned the amp down for the first week for a breaking in period . Now have a kicker 1800.1 on a pair of these and I can tell they want more power . Very underrated
