Wonderful product. You can fry an egg like right now on this burner and boiling water is super fast!

UPDATE: Had for less than a month. Cooked with cast iron or Kitchen Aide pans. I loved it. It worked perfectly for about 25 days. Then I got two different error messages, on different heat settings, that the unit was overheating and that I should contact the Salton Service people. As I am not convinced that I want to have another one I have returned it to Amazon without replacement. Maybe I need to spend more money for a better hot plate?

Super Efficient. Boils pot of water in 5mins. Great price. Easy to clean..Got it for our cabin able to run it off our small generator. measurements are 12inches wide X 15inches Deep. excellent product..definitely recommended
