I live in Colorado and do a lot of winter activities and what I find gets me the most is the wind coming at my head/face and ears. I have the neck gators but those don't always stay up and air gets inside.

Okay so it really doesn't get that cold in southern California, but having recently moved walking distance from the beach, early morning walks with Antoine (my dog) are rather cold and the last thing I need is to get sick. Super soft and skin friendly material, this balaclava quickly became my favorite to wear this season. It works great alone, or under the hood of my winter coat. The sides can cinch up to close the front area which reduces the amount of area on my face that is exposed to the cold. I can wear this while doing chores and find that it does not irritate my skin like some other balaclavas have. This is also machine washable.

This hat or balaclava is wonderful! I wore it outside for the first time tonight. The wind was blowing and the temperature has dropped to 29 degrees F (my husky loves the cold and insisted on going out). With the inner layer pulled up, my nose and mouth were toasty warm. It has elastic to pull the brim of the hat tighter so if it were snowing it would keep the snow from coming in. All around balaclava is perfect for everyone who doesn't want to get cold!
