Works great for me, i have it centered under my 3 in solid memory foam pillow and i can hear it with the volume set on low just fine. If you sleep on your back you won't be able to hear it, but i use it for soft sleep music and it's perfect. I wish the speakers were a bit smaller since i also sleep with my hand under the pillow, but they aren't uncomfortable since they are wrapped in foam

I have used pillow speakers for many years and have tried many brands. By far this is the best. The sound covers all areas of your pillow which means you don't have to shift the speaker as you turn. Moving the speaker constantly always resulted in ware on the wire connection. This speaker is cushioned and comfortable. The sound is clear and volume control is very easy to access.
