Very soft and cushiony yoga mat. When I bought this match it wasn't exactly for yoga ( it was purchased for a night without Furniture so my back didn't break sleeping on the floor) believe it or not the yoga mat provided just enough cushion for my arthritic back for about 4 hours of good sleep. I was so impressed I actually started doing yoga!

This mat is soft and cushiony-great on the knees if you are doing any exercises with knees on the ground, and after unrolling, it is pretty good about flattening out. This may be unfair, but I knocked off one star because I have real doubts about the mat's durability. I have only used it a few times so far and not actually had problems, but the top surface does feel like it would tear easily if something on my clothing or keys or something were to catch it, so I am trying to be careful. This would annoy me more if I had spent more money. For what I spent, I figure it is fine.
