We have an old house with pull chain lights in the closets. The chains keeps breaking off inside which requires replacing the whole fixture, every year or two. This product works like a charm. Since our pull chain broke with the light on this last time, it was simple to install this. If you can screw in a light bulb, you can install this product. If your pull chain breaks with the light off, you might have to replace the ceramic fixture before using this. I will be ordering another one for a room where the wall switch doesn't seem to be tied to any outlet in the room. Can't wait to be able to turn a light on with a wall switch instead of walking into a dark room to turn on a desk lamp. I only hope it continues to work since it is more expensive than the ceramic fixtures. Very happy with this and it was delivered quickly. I couldn't find this at any local hardware store.

So far so good, was an easy installation, product contained all needed info as well as the battery for the switch, the switch works smoothly which was a relief as my experience with a similar but different brand product that had a traditional flick type switch was a hassle to keep it working until it finally gave out altogher after about 2 years. This whole units seems very well built and my initial feeling is that this will last a long time. This was exactly what I was needing to convert my closet pull chain light to a easy and convenient wall mounted switch.

What a fantastic invention! No more crawling into places I can hardly fit, to turn a lightbulb off.
We've got two grandkids, who have bunkbeds, and light fixture is on te wall, above the top bunk. My wife and I needed to crawl up, onto the top bunk to shutoff the light...until now.

We just recently opened up a backstair case that had been closed off since the 1930s. The top of the stairs was a linen closet and the rest of the staircase was being used for storage. There was just one pull string light at the bottom. I had a quote from an electrician for 500.00 to add proper switches inside the stair case. Instead I purchased two of these from Amazon and now I have a function switch at the top and bottom of the stair case. It was easy to install and works as design.

Caem as expected but is much flimsier than I anticipated. The off/off switch is not responsive as it should be. Many times I have to hit the on/off several times fr it to click and perform as it should. For the cost of this item I don't think I would ever purchase it again due to it not turning on/off as it should
