finally .... a mouse I love
kim-berly✓ Verified PurchaseJune 25, 2017
When I asked for a left-handed mouse in my search criteria, I didn't really expect much. I love a great big surprise! I love this mouse.

I have my laptop and a Zotec ZBox on my small little old fashioned desk. I punted my Wacom tablet (the surface had died a long time ago) and I always hated that mouse. It had caused me many hours of pain.

I've purchased a couple of mice in the past few months and haven't really liked them much. I decided that money wasn't going to (totally) be the deciding factor. No cheap mouse this time. Since desk space is at a premium and my husband had a trackball mouse many years ago I thought I'd check them out. I gambled a bit and purchased 2 of these. One right-handed and one left-handed. I am ambidextrous and have used a left-handed mouse for decades. I do my artwork right-handed and I also purchased a XP-Pen Star 3 tablet (to replace the Wacom-love the new tablet), so I don't need a right-handed mouse all the time. For continuity I thought one of each should keep both sides of my brain happy.

What I must assume are the installation instructions that came with the mouse are in Asian languages. Going to the web-site to get the driver was fun! Googles translation was sketchy, but I finally got the driver downloaded and installed. The manual I downloaded was in Japanese (?) I think. The driver software has language choices and English was the default.

It's great to have a driver just for the left-handed version. Why doesn't Windows have a left-handed cursor. I have an app for that, but there should be one available. I digress.

The mouse fits my small hand. If it was a typical mouse I had to move around it would be way too big and cumbersome. I'm getting use to using my thumb to move the cursor around. Haven't decided yet what to do with the extra button.

I'm delighted with this purchase and being able to have 2 identical mirror-twin mice to use.
finally a good wired thumb track ball.

Update 1: the trackball isn't very accurate, so I swapped it out with my old logitech m570 and it works much better. I guess the blue ball has more oil over the years and is much smoother then this black ball. But the procession isn't as good as Logitech 570
-----------------------------------------------------
I own 3 Logitech m570 mouse (one is dying so I got this and the other 2 works fine) 1 MS big ball and the old Logitech cable thumb mouse.

Overall I like it as there are few wired thumb ball mouse out there, since logitech stop making the wired version.

Good:
1. It is a wired thumb ball mouse. Been years since I found a good wired one. Sometimes the wiredless m570 gets some connection issues or lag if ther is something else plug into one of my usb ports. Wired version has no problem.
2. bunch of buttons 6. guessing the wheel can acts as abutton too.
3. it works, it is from a brand name I never heard of but it work so tha tis a plus that I didn't have to return it.
4. 2 level of dpi. I use the lower one as it is easier to use and slower, the high dpi is faster and you it flys too much. I guess i can adjust the mouse speed on the window default settings also.

Neutral:
1. design: it looks good. Buttons are layout well like my old logitech MX mouse. Teh scroll wheel with that silver and rubber look is the same, grant logitech mx mouse scroll wheel is better. The mouse size is the same too, but that is what I am putting into he bad category.

Bad,
1. it is small. I have medium size hand and my pinky and button palm is on the table. It is too short, but you might get use to it compare to teh longer m570. I am goign to buy a mouse pad so my palm can rest on something softer.

Overall the bad might not be tha tbad as you get use to the size, granted it won't fit you whole hand, just got to deal with it. I am not sure if thi sgot any driver, I just plug it in and it works straight up, so I didn't bother to look for any driver disk.
Not for large hands
Wicasawakan✓ Verified PurchaseJune 6, 2017
I like this mouse but there are things you must know before buying. It is for people with small to med hands. If you have large hands, skip it. I have large hands and it has taken some adjusting and I still get a sore hand from using it for too long. Also, gaming..when I use the right click to zoom with a rifle scope and then go to use the left click to shoot, the raised wheel gets in the way or I don't click the left mouse in time due to it being a smaller mouse than I'm used to. The wheel works great but the tension in it is really loose. It's easy to accidently click the mouse 3 (wheel) button.
Really, it's a well made, stylish track ball mouse. I really like it. But it's not for large hands.
Would be great if it were a bit bigger.

I've been using this type of trackball for more than 15 years, starting with the original mechanical TrackMan, TrackMan Marble, and the TrackMan Wheel. I have a couple of M570s that I use with laptops, but they are not the best for a stationary workstation and they are not as smooth as the old TrackMan even after years of use. I get RSI in my wrist when using a mouse for more than an hour or two. These have always worked great.

I had high hopes for this trackball, but I went back to my TrackMan Wheel after a day or two. The main issue for me is that it is just too small for my hand. If it was about 10% larger it would fill my hand more like the TrackMan Wheel does. The button spacing is also a bit tight. That said, the overall hand posture is right for me and the track ball is nice and smooth. I also really like the feel of the scroll wheel: it is much better than any of the Logitech scroll wheels. I use it mainly with Linux and don't bother mapping any of the extra functions. My KVM also does not like it at all, but that it also the case with other fancy gaming mice.

All that said, I am using it now after my TrackMan Wheel started acting up. After a week or two, I was able to get used to the small size. This would be a great track ball if it were a bit bigger. In the picture, the front of each are lined up to show the difference in size.
It's a good trackball comfortable left handed wireless and no perceptible lag ...

It's a good trackball comfortable left handed wireless and no perceptible lag from it either I have wired right hand Elecom trackball as well it's every bit as good just w/o the wire. One thing about both however is the software could stand to be better. The tilt wheel for left and right along with the ring finger button you cannot key bind for games. The arbitrary key and the gesture function do not work for games either all of which is unfortunate and disappointing.Gestures also don't really work in games either. What is great on the other hand however is you can use a left/right trackball together if you wish on the same PC.
