Great pump! Great price!

I installed this to pump on the hot water line coming right out of my water heater. I use it to pump hot water throughout my house, so I can avoid wasting the time and water it takes to get hot water at distant faucets. I plugged the pump into a smart outlet connected to my SmartThings hub. I turn the smart outlet on and off either with a voice command to my Amazon Echo Dot or by pressing the on/off button on another smart outlet in my bathroom, also connected to my SmartThings hub. I created a routine in my hub that calls for the pump smart outlet to turn on and off whenever the bathroom smart outlet is turned on or off. The LED on my bathroom outlet lets me know whether the pump is on or off. So, I am able to run the pump only when I need it. It runs perfect and is very quite. I highly recommend this pump. Great performance, high quality at a low price.
Works.

Probably a really odd use but. I got this a secondary pump for an in ground hot tub. original design we used a taco tapping into the pipe just past the main pump output and exiting tapped in the filter inlet. ( check valve in main line between) Orig concept was an anti freezing pump to be operated when outside temps were below freezing. However we have had an issue with the main pump for awhile so we are using this as a main circulatory pump. rather than spa flow it's more like a swimming pull power level but still if we operate it some 6 hours a day it is doing a great job of keeping the spa water clean. vs with the main pump we used to run it 15 minutes 3x a day to maintain clean water. for simplicity I used a 3/4 pvc union on each side and 3/4 pipe for the pump piping. Pump is very quiet. aside from being able to occasionally hear some bubbles in the pipes I have to touch the pipe to "feel" if it running, even then it doesn't vibrate much at all. Only drawback is I really needed a longer cord and having to use an extension cord right now.

SIX Stars ... Very Happy with the Bac Pump

The Bac (Bacoeng) Pump is purring like a Kitten....
I took the Reviewers advice and also bought The Bird ( InkBird Thermostat ) .

I have them hooked up to the Used to Be Gravity ReCirculating in Our 6 Unit / 3 Story / 2 Full Bathrooms.....

With the Pump set on Low.... it is Averaging about 8 Hours ON time a day.
(Place a Light Timer where the Bac Pump plugs into the Bird Cord and it Records the ON time. .... I just let it Run 24/7.)

The Bac does not even get Warm when Running..... Usually about 10 minutes On, 20 minutes Off.

As Reviewed by Others, there are many other Tougher Jobs that this Bacoeng Pump is able to handle.

No More Tenants reporting that it takes 5 Minutes to get Hot Water.
Only speed 1 and 3 and the pump is super loud vs the other one I have

The pump is ok, but the part are cheap. I am using the pump to circulate hot water baseboard heat. After a week, the second speed is no longer working. Only speed 1 and 3 and the pump is super loud vs the other one I have. Will return. and thats the truth as it is.
