Purchased for 70 pound senior greyhound and it is way too soft. He's developing arthritis and I was hoping this would help his joints, but I think the softness creates more issues for him. He could barely get up from the bed and soon chose the hardwood floor over this. Everything also showed up on cover and it needed to be washed constantly. Ended up finding a friend with a younger dog who could use a large bed and didn't mind the softness and picking up an extra thick egg crate foam orthopedic bed to support my dog's joints.

I purchased a 55" HeadRest pillow with the brown denim cover to use in a crate for my Great Dane puppy. I wanted something with plenty of soft cushion for my Dane as she continues to grow, and I figured that the denim would be thick enough and strong enough to last. The design and the amount of cushion is excellent and the memory foam is perfect for the job. However, the exterior denim cover does not hold up to normal wear and usage. I purchased the pillow in June 2017, and by November 2017, the seam on the back side of the pillow has started to unravel and come apart. This puppy has never attempted to tear or chew on her bedding. The seam has pulled apart simply by her laying on the pillow as it is intended. When I contacted the seller I received this reply, "Since you have purchased this almost half a year ago, we do not have any warranty on it." They informed me that I could purchase replacement covers. So, I ordered a brown ballistic cover directly from the seller to see if it would hold up to normal wear and tear. The new cover arrived today (12/6/2017), but they sent a blue denim cover instead. I would definitely not recommend this product or the company.

This is a very nice bed for a dog with joint problems or other degenerative diseases. My English Bulldog is 13 and has arthritis and joint stiffness and she is very comfortable on this bed. She even enjoys the pillow on the end and uses it most of the time.

The material feels like real memory foam and holds her 55 pounds easily. The outside cover is washable and was easy to take off and put on. The trick is to roll up the side you are on, slip it into the cover, then the other side. I don't think the material shrunk after I laundered it, but I did wash on cold and line-dried.

I chose the microfiber, but think the denim would have been better since it's 100% cotton and cooler. However the weather has been very hot and humid here, so maybe the microfiber is okay.

When it arrived, it smelled like a new mattress does, so I left it outside for 24 hours. That have it time to fluff up to its full size.

Be aware that this bed is HUGE! Look at the measurements. Six dogs the size of my 55 pound English Bulldog could fit on the bed. The dog bed is at least 2/3rds the size of my queen bed. It takes up a lot of room..

I like it so well that I'm back to order one in a smaller size if I can find it. You'll be fine if you have a lot of space.

UPDATE - I ordered a smaller bed and my dog doesn't like it, so back to the huge bed. She can change positions, roll on it, and move from area to area. She doesn't use the smaller bed at all. So, if you have room, don't hesitate to order.

This is my favorite dog bed to date! I am so glad that we decided to order this. It is extremely comfortable and thick; all of our dogs from our small elderly Chihuahua to our large extremely active German Shepherd enjoy this bed. Our Border Collie particularly loves the headrest option. This scores 5 stars for a few reasons.

1) Best level of comfort in bed we've purchased
2) Best cover options! Not only is the top cover extremely durable and washable, not only do they offer replacement ones, but there is a hidden waterproof cover under it to prevent any liquid damage to the actual bed itself. If you've owned dogs long enough, you realize the extreme benefit to the hidden waterproof cover...
3) Price isn't exorbitant. Yes, it's expensive, but honestly, actually worth the price.

I'm a big fan of these beds! Very simple in design, very good quality for the price. I've wanted to get a Big Barker or a Buddy Rest for a long time now, but I just can't afford them. In all honesty, this bed exceeded my expectations though and is much more affordably priced than the other two orthopedic beds at the top of the line. The memory foam is high quality (& made in USA, I believe... another bonus), and the covers are simple in design but well made with good zippers that have stood up to many many journeys through the washing machine. I bought a smaller version of this bed over 2 years ago (without the head rest) and it has stood up well over that time, the memory foam is still holding its shape, the zipper has held up amazingly well, and the denim fabric has never ripped or worn through (my boys aren't big diggers or chewers on their beds though). The water-resistant liner has also done its job well when my senior boys have the occasional accident. My boys are definitely getting up there in years (& they're big boys too, weighing in at 80 lbs & 100 lbs!), which is why I wanted to get them each a nice comfy orthopedic bed to cushion their joints when they sleep at night... but I'm not ashamed to admit that I have slept on these beds too, and can fully attest to the fact that they are more comfortable than a lot of mattresses I've had in the past! I also am happy to support a small independent business who happens to be local to me here in California. Overall, I'd recommend these beds and this company to anyone looking for a good, solid, simply designed, affordable, quality dog bed for dogs who need a little extra support when they sleep. My boys love these beds too, which makes me a happy mama!
