Good product, but not perfect, sometimes its cutting come imperfectly! It needs some experience in usage to built your own adjustment maneuver to get the proper cut..It made up of plastic looks hard enough, but i am afraid the blade sharpness gets damage with time!!

It works well enough. I'd like to see a bigger edge on the cable stop so you can maintain a more accurate strip size every time. Also, the cutter is a little hard to use and I found I just prefer using my separate cable cutters to trim the length before I strip the insulation. Other than that it's a handy tool.

This tool works like a charm for me! I have a great deal of salvaged CAT-5 cable from my former business which I am stripping for the solid 24ga wire in order to wire an extensive model railroad. Before finding the stripping tool, I was using an Xacto knife and pulling the wire cover off in short segments (~6-8 inches). Frequently nicked the wire insulation, and also my thumb! With this tool, I was able to strip longer segments without damage to the wire insulation, and salvaged more than 1,000 feet of 24 gauge wire in less than an hour. With adjustment to the blade, I have been able to strip telephone cable (8 and 12 pair) with some good success. I have also used it, with a little success on old printer cable to get at the 30 ga wire in them. Thanks!

This may be the best cable stripper ever made, I have been using this model for years and have done 1000s of cable ends. It adjusts so you strip cat5, 5e, 6 jackets perfectly with no nick of the pairs. You can avoid the step of pulling the nylon cord and striping back the outer jacket for safety, This saves 3 operations and saves about 20 seconds, It stips rg6 and 59 in a single step. with all the spaces correct so the connection goes on each time perfectly.
