The rating is mainly for the keyboard. With that being said, the Havit Magic Eagle Mouse/Keyboard combo doesn't feel like a good combo. The mouse just seems like an after thought thrown in to pair with the keyboard. The quality could be a little better with it. What I didn't like about the mouse is that the top is nothing but a shell. There are no buttons cut into it, you push on the top shell to make the buttons click. Just seems awkward, It does work okay despite the build. When mine arrived, the mouse was actually apart as the clip on the side to hold it together was unclipped.

I had to take it apart to get the scrolling wheel and clip for the shell back in the right place. The packaging needs more protection for the mouse during shipping. After everything was put back together the mouse was functional. What I like about the mouse was the grip on the top. Makes it easy to move around the desk without slipping. The cable on the mouse has a nice cloth shield around it, providing the cable more protection.
Now to the keyboard, I absolutely love the key response on the keyboard. Pressing the keys, they bounce back very quickly making repetitive presses very fast. It also makes typing feel quicker as the keys don't press down as far as my previous keyboard. You also have the ability to change the key delay. 21 character per second all the way to 62 character per second. There are 3 modes 21,30, and 62. Another amazing feature is the w,s,a,d keys can be used as the arrow keys. This is one of the greatest features you can have because some games will not allow you to remap the arrow keys.

The backlight is awesome love the colors it gives off. There are 3 settings high brightness, medium and breathe mode. You can also turn the backlight off if you don't want it on. The energy saver will turn it off if you are away from the keyboard for 10 mins. Any key will turn it back on.

The multimedia keys are another great feature of this keyboard. With Next, Previous and Pause/Play you wont have to alt + tab out of your game just to navigate your music. You also can change volume no matter what you are doing on the screen. On the top left of the keyboard you get some navigational keys to open your homepage on the internet, open your email and my favorite key the my computer key. Saves time with only one button press to get where you need to go.

The Havit Magic Eagle combo is a good combo. The mouse will get you by and you will absolutely love the keyboard.

So far I really like this keyboard! This is a must buy if you are on a budget!

The LEDs do not light up the lettering on the keys. (Hard to see at night)
No LED modes
The keyboard is stuck with certain colors on certain parts of the keyboard.
The mouse is stuck either with a cycle of RGB colors or just the laser light (red) lighting up the mouse.

Minor:
Enter key is in a weird position.
No software, a little too simple for me ;)

In short, if you need a cheap, well-made gaming keyboard and mouse combo, look no further. The mouse and keyboard are excellent. I can tell you from experience that you will be able to game for hours on end, I highly recommended this combo!

First off, I will say I love this keyboard and mouse. They're both excellent and work well. The colors are beautiful. Show up well in a well lit or dark room. Now we get to the fun part:

When I first ordered this, I received the item only to find the keyboard had 2 U keys instead of a Y and a U key. Okay. No problem. Just emailed the company and asked them if they could please send me a Y key so I could just replace the key myself. No muss. No fuss.

Havit insisted on sending me a whole new keyboard instead. Okay, great. Thought that was really nice of them. Didn't pay for the replacement or the shipping. Was told I'd have shipping confirmation and tracking info in 7-10 days.

Nope. Took them almost 3 weeks to give me any information at all. During this time, I was also pestered several times for product feedback. I finally said they really didn't want me to leave a review at the time given the flaw with the original item and them stringing me along about the replacement and when I would receive it. And wouldn't you know it? Right after I said that, I had tracking info and shipping confirmation. Go figure, right?

So I had to wait a few days for the replacement to be delivered. They didn't even put it in a shipping box. They just slapped a shipping label and some tape on the actual item box. The box looked like it had been through a war zone by the time it got to me. Also, the contents were clearly broadcasted on the box with plain as day pictures. The box was left at my front door. I live in an apartment so thankfully, I have honest neighbors who didn't decide they wanted a new keyboard and mouse.

That being said, the replacement had all the correct keys and is in perfect working order. As previously stated, I do love the keyboard and mouse. I even gave the first keyboard to my husband who has enjoyed using it as well.

Overall, I would recommend this product despite the few snags I hit along the way after purchasing it. I subtracted one star for the issues mentioned above. Thanks for a great keyboard and mouse, though.

It's a very nice keyboard. I was surprised with it thinking it was going to feel cheap, but it actually doesn't feel cheap. It doesn't feel top quality though. More like a mid-range quality. Which I feel is good considering the price. It's laid out well, though some may not like the shape of the Enter key. The LED lights are very bright, which makes it a shame that the letters themselves are not backlit. Just behind the keys. The keys themselves feel alright. The arrow keys have a nice feel as they have a slight circular indentation. I kinda wish all the keys were like that.

Overall, I'd say for the price this is a great keyboard for this price range. Not for a pro gamer, but lower end or beginner gamer or just standard users would find this a great keyboard. Better than the TeckNet Gryphon keyboard from the same price range I also recently reviewed.

Edit: Forgot to note that I did not really need nor try the mouse. At a glance, it looks pretty cool and not bad. But I haven't tried it, so I can't put an opinion about it in this review.

I liked the back light it has, you can play it cool in the dark.
Very comfortable to use and play games. The mouse has all the buttons you need and the keyboard has all the keys including convenient big ones for arrows.
