Have a wi-fi router at one end of our place in MBR (no way to relocate to middle of home) , smart TV at the other end in Living Room, concrete ceilings and floors, no way to route Ethernet cables in between. Living room LG TV picked up both bands of wi-fi from router but stuttered on 4K Netflix or Prime Video. Also, no fast Ethernet available at Living Room location.

I bought this unit for less than $25, and without ever having even seen one before, had it up and working within 10 minutes. Great little box!

I removed the coax cable from the Tivo Mini which was attached to the Smart TV, plugged an Ethernet cable from the Actiontec to the Tivo Mini, changed settings on the Tivo Mini to use its Ethernet Port to connect to the main Tivo DVR instead of the MOCA connection and finally, connected another Ethernet cable between the LG Smart TV and the Actiontec's 2nd Ethernet port.

Ran speedtest on the TV and now getting about 70Mbps; zero stuttering when 4K streaming.

For $25, it is a great value. The reason I give it 4 stars rather than 5, is because even though it is a huge improvement over previously available wireless speed, it is actually quite a bit slower than my actual wired speed. I have a 300Mbps LAN speed. The Actiontec reports a MOCA Network speed greater than 270 Mbps. If I plug directly into the Ethernet ports on my main Docsis Router, I get close to 300Mbps, so on this wired connection over MOCA, I am losing about 230Mbps! Even the wireless network in the MBR is over 200Mbps. At the end of the day tho', I am satisfied with the improvement gained for the cost.
Great product and easy to install

Even if you don't have moca router or adapter, 2 of this extenders are enough to run good and steady ethernet connection over the coax network. Also the power supply is 110v to 220v so it works great in Israel. I truly recommend it.
I couldn't change the Name of the ssid or password, and i can't find the app that is mentioned in the manual, but it's not a big issue.
UPDATE: Problems were with Verizon's crappy DNS servers, not this adapter

I purchased three of these, but only after calling Actiontec support because I was unable to access the admin panel did I discover these were made for a particular ISP and not authorized by Actiontec for resale. The wireless worked okay, but the ethernet ports caused problems with DNS. The one star for technical support is because Actiontec should honor an exchange or something -- after all they did sell these at some point.

UPDATE: While I was troubled to find out Actiontec wouldn't support these since they were from an unauthorized seller, the main problem I experienced was due to the ISP (Verizon) and not this adapter. Once I removed Verizon's crappy DNS servers from the network, these little babies worked as expected.
BEWARE UNAUTHORIZED PRODUCT (per Actiontec customer service) but still a decent product

To begin, let me say that so far going on 1 week, this product works although it has numerous speed drop-offs and the connection will fluctuate from 50-150 Mbps throughout the day (wired through ethernet) tested. Sometimes the signal is great...sometimes it is not. If you can deal with that, this product is for you.
*It is entirely plug and play, which is nice
*If you choose to change settings through the GUI interface, the HTML is kind of jacked up but it is doable.
*It is MOCA 1.0 to 1.1, so your max throughput is greatly capped compared to MOCA 2.0/2.0 Bonded.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, despite the seller being Actiontec, this model is NOT supported by Actiontec customer service. I called the company for support on the intermittent signal loss I was getting and they told me that the MAC address of my particular model was unauthorized and that I should ask Amazon for a replacement but it is on Amazon (Not Actiontec) to provide the replacement.

Sooooo...If you can see past all of this, this product is for you.
Good affordable solution

The router/extender works great. I'm impressed considering the affordable price. I bought the bundle kit which includes a coaxial splitter, short coaxial, and a Cat6 cable. The splitter was lightweight, felt cheap and rattled like it was broken internally. When connected, the MoCa signal was very poor. Luckily I had a quality splitter that works great. The coaxial cable was lightweight and cheap too but it works fine. The Cat6 seems like a good quality cable. My only additional challenge was that the connection instructions label on the router itself had the wrong IP address so I had to go to the Actiontec website to look up instructions. After that it was easy: log into the primary router administration to find the Actiontec actual IP address, copy and paste that into a new browser then good to go.
In closing I'd probably recommend purchasing JUST the extender for $16 and picking your own high quality cable components separately instead of this $27 kit where you're getting questionable quality connectors for $11 more. They should improve the quality of the bundle components and include a MoCa filter.
