Great little iron to replace the soldering station in my portable tool kit.

I was looking for a small lightweight soldering iron to carry in my pinball repair tool kit. This one was cheap enough I thought I would give it a try.
I've used it a couple times now and it i'm pleasantly surprised by it's performance. It heats up pretty quick and does a good job soldering wires on the big lugs of a flipper coil. I have yet to use it on a circuit card but I think I'll try one of the smaller tips that came with to get between the legs of ICs or transistors.
the power cord could be a tad longer but most pinball machines have a service outlet right in the cabinet and it's long enough for that.

Got this to do some occasional soldering and particularly wanted the mini blade attachment as it's useful to slice through plastic tabs to shorten/trim them. Overall, I was concerned with value as I only had so much money to spend. I also needed solder since I had moved and had none with me. Buying everything in one kit seemed like it would save money and that holds true here. The adjustable heat dial works well. Replacing tips is fairly easy enough. The stand is a little cheap but I'll never use it. Overall, I really like this kit and would recommend it to anyone looking for light duty usage.

I am really impressed with this iron. When I seen the price I thought it can't be all that great, but it is a really good soldering iron. I leave the temp between 200 and 250 and it works good on the electronics I am working on.
Heats up quick.
And I think the best part is my fingers don't get hot when soldering, very comfortable grip and not hot, perfect.
Tweezers are heavy metal, NOT some cheap tinny things.
All the tips look like good quality tips. I have used just one so far. After about 5 hours of continuous use I had no problems with it.
Solder sucker works like a solder sucker should.
The stand,,well,,, you might want to get a better one.

I hadn't soldered anything since middle school and needed something affordable to work with some PC parts. I've been really happy with this kit as it's gotten the job done on every occasion that i've called upon it.
One thing: the tweezers are trash and do not count of them to hold up. Mine bent the day I started using the kit.
Also MAKE SURE to tin the soldering heads. Forgot about this step, but I think I've done a good enough job restoring the. The solder sucker has also worked well, but make sure to periodically clean it out.

When it arrived i really liked it. Heated quickly, worked great, and I was generally impressed with it, for the price. However, its now a month later and this morning I needed it for a quick soldier and it wont turn on.
UPDATE: I was contacted by this company based on my initial review. I was sent a brand new unit no questions asked and the new unit works great. I am really satisfied with the customer service I received and now that I have a working unit again, I was quickly reminded why I initially liked this soldering iron so much; it heats quickly and does the job well.
