They work exactly as expected and it's nice to have three different lengths. You get what you pay for. They were functional for a year, then the rivets pulled out on two of three.

These were not very expensive and that was why I chose this product. They do the job. However I had other ones already. These seemed to lock up a lot. By the time I realized why, I had been pinched very hard while trying to figure them out. My others had a circle at the end and would not lock down but would stay apart until you pull up on the circle. I just realized that if you pulled up on the circle they will lock closed. The ones I just ordered would lock closed as soon as you lifted them high enough for gravity to move th high and locked them closed automatically . Since I was using them to pick stuff up from floor level because after surgery I was not to bend over or down, they locked up immediately and I did not know that they would not open back up until gravity let them fall the other way. Took awhile to realize that. May I suggest these really need a way to lock them up or down.

I bought these because they were like the one I had previously. I was specifically looking for tongs that would stay closed without the need to pull a "tab" on the end of the tong. These fit the bill. Just a rotation of the wrist to tilt the tongs upright and they stay closed. One-handed operation. They seem to be sturdy and good quality. I'll likely use the mid-size one most frequently but having the option of 3 sizes is a plus.

Really love the thongs, bought them because of the color, I love purple. Problem is I find that they do not open up very easy, maybe it's because I don't know the trick to getting them open easy and that is a little frustrating when try to cook.

These tongs are the best and the Amazon price was great.They have a unique one-handed locking mechanism that is the greatest and easiest to use. You point them up, squeeze and they lock. You point them down, squeeze and they unlock. No more knobs that unlock on their own in the drawer. No more sliding and pushing to lock. The tongs themselves are very strong. They have a coated end, but it isn't floppy like the KitchenAid. Very comfortable to grip and handle. I really only wanted the medium size, but have found myself using the smaller one even more. It had no problem turning a 1.5 pound steak. The longer one I'm reserving for the grill.
