Beautiful, beautiful little bell! As a child, raised in a 3 story antebellum home in Natchez, Ms. by an elderly grandmother, I always had a bell placed on the bedside table if I was sick and wanted/needed something. Keeping up with "tradition", I raised my daughter (now 36) with a bell beside her bed to ring when she was sick.
Of course, times have changed, but I've not been able to forget how special a little bell was as a child when going thru chicken pox, measles etc..
After perusing thru a zillion bells/reviews, I finally decided on this one for my daughter and grandchildren, hoping for the best.
This little jewel is so very pretty, small and has a tinkling sound which is not "loud" but carries well enough to hear from a distance. When not needed, it's really attractive sitting on a shelf in my daughter's home library room. Please disregard typos, poor grammar.

Good size for bedside. Most of all, an alzheimer victim still knows how to work a bell, whereas the alarm button would not stay in her memory
