Did the trick. Just what I was seeking. Created an OBDII to DB9 cable using this adapter.
Flexible and can easily be rewired

Very nice device and unlike other D-Sub connectors, it's just a matter of loosening the screw and moving the wire to rework the device.
Useful for debug

This was a great help when I had to connect to a device which was wired non-standard. After getting it right with this I then made a cable wired the same way.
fast and easy to use

This is SO convenient. If you have ever had to solder pins onto wires, or wires onto solder cups, you will love that all it takes is a small screwdriver to make connections with this unit.
Built a custom RJ45 to DB9 for my ham radio and packet TNC in less than 5 minutes! No soldering needed!
They are a bit pricey, but they are so convenient.

Worked excellent

Worked absolutely perfect for an old line that was cut. The plastic cover that flips over sits kind of high. Not an issue for me the way the ports were turned, but something to keep in mind if you're working in a tight space.
