Foot rest was heavier then I though - very solid and well made. If you are doing new construction, you'll definitely want to put some blocking in the wall to anchor this into. It comes with some plastic anchors, which likely won't last long term unless your going into solid masonry\concrete. My shower is comprised of stud walls, hardi-board and tile. I was fortunate to hit a stud on right side, but used the plastic anchor on the left. In hindsight I should have used a toggle bolt on the left side. The product itself is beautiful and well made.

I love this product, except for the sturdiness as a footrest. The wall mount pin/holder should be longer. So that it can insert further into the footrest for more and better support. also most of the hex screws stripped easily after trying to tighten the screws so much for the support to not move. Again, I love the product, but the mounting needs to be modified for more support.

This footrest looks great, pivots easily (but stays "up" when placed that way), has a strong hinge, and is made of heavy-duty materials. My wife is glad I installed it. Just note that for this thing really to work, you need to mount at least one of the three screws into a wall stud behind the tile - and ideally, if you are (re)building the shower enclosure from scratch, you probably should prepare the whole area with a wider mounting board for additional strength.
