Great cutters!

I have a lot of these cookie cutters and I feel they are probably the best quality I've ever had. When I received my order, I noticed 2 of the cutters were replaced with something else so I contacted the seller-Ann Clark and told them what happened. Since it was filled by Amazon, it was their mistake but Ann Clark fixed the problem by immediately sending me the 2 that I didn't receive (that was in the listing.) Since this was a gift, I didn't want to give duplicates. Otherwise I would have kept them. But I'm a happy camper. You won't go wrong with these. They're high quality. Just a little pricey. Watch for them to go on sale. That's the best way to buy them.
Durable, But Slight Rust

I was throwing an ugly sweater Christmas party, and I loved that this set came with the sweater cutter and the snowflake. They have worked excellently and have held their shape. I gave this 4 stars due to a bit of rust that instantly formed on one of the cutters, even with me just using a bit of water and drying it right away.
Made in usa and safe for children to use

Last year I wanted to start making Chanukah cookies with my daughter. I wasn't too picky as I figured all cookie cutters are pretty much the same, metal shapes to carve dough, as long as it was not too sharp since I would be using them with my daughter or too fragile to withstand my daughter. Of course I would carve the shapes out with my daughter until she gets the hang if it anyway.
I would have taken any hand me downs anybody had but I did not know anybody who has ever made Chanukah cookies. Most people I know buy traditional Jelly donuts which I used to make from scratch but cookies are more fun to make with children. So I was just going to buy the least expensive set that was the best buy for what was included. Most of the sets seemed pretty reasonable but I saw Anne Clark was made in USA and reasonable priced. I give her a lot of credit for manufacturing in the USA. I had never heard of this brand but I did not know any of the other brands either. So I bought these, they were not sharp at all so my daughter could use them safely but they carve just fine.
So for valentine's day I wanted to go back to making heart cookies for the first time since I left home. I looked for my moms heart cutter I used when I lived at home and I could not find them. I think since I wasnt home to use them for years and my mom doesnt make them anymore, she must have given them away understadably. The grocery store was out of heart cutters, I decided to buy this brand again since the Chanukah ones worked out well.
This year my daughter wanted to try Christmas cookies to bring to family and friends. Those I also haven't made since I lived at home, I used to bring to my friend's holiday parties and those I also couldnt find at my moms. Also my daughter wanted to try making Gingerbread men since she loves the story. So I bought this set which comes with a Gingerbread man and a Gingerbread man set which has different size Gingerbread men. My daughter loves using all of them. We also use these cookie cutters with the playdough we make.
This Chanukah I decided to try the cookie recipe. I usually use the same recipe Iv always used but I noticed a lot of amazon reviewers liked this recipe. It looked like most sugar cookie recipes but also I wanted to try the butter frosting as I don't really like royal icing. In fact I often just brush cookies with cream before baking and just decorate.
These cookies were very buttery and tastey, the high butter content gave these cookies good texture. The butter frosting was very tastey, way better than royal icing.
During the quarantine we did a lot of baking together and now with the winter coming and it being too cold to the park
and the children's library programs not seeming to be coming back anytime soon, the more educational things we can do at home the better, including baking and making playdough.
I wanted to start my child in preschool for socialization this winter or spring now that my childs better at wearing mask, and Iv been trying to convince my husband not to worry, but also we were not sure if preschools would remain opened or are even opened in the first place and everything's uncertain now.
So If the preschool idea does not work out, at least I stay home with my child, we will be home doing a lot of educational activities like baking and making play dough like back in march, so these cookie cutters will come to use.

Great value but one recommendation to make them last

I agree with previous reviewers that this is a set with good variety. The snowflake in particular cut out dough very well and resulted in nicely shaped cookies that kept their edges. I loved having an angel and a reindeer shape, which is a nice change from the typical star and gingerbread man shape. I wouldn't call the metal they are shaped out of as super thick, but they are sturdy enough and overall a great value for the price and how much you are getting. The one thing I would stress is that they do need to be washed right away so they don't rust. The booklet that this comes with recommends washing the cutters right away and setting them into your still-warm-from-baking-cookies oven to dry completely. I plan to follow this suggestion because I let the cutters sit in my kitchen sink before washing them and some of them rusted. Because I really liked the set, I re-ordered it. But save yourself the trouble and definitely don't let them soak too long. Dry them in the oven to avoid any start of rusting.
Durible cookie cutters that hold their shape!
Courtney✓ Verified Purchase•July 16, 2023
The media could not be loaded. These cookie cutters are very durible! I have a 3 year old boy that loves making cookies and these hold their shape SO well (unlike the Walmart ones that bent right away last year).
The ONLY thing I don't like is how fat the candy cane cookie cutter is. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase.
