Scorches wort!

Heats strike water fast, but I wouldn't recommend using in a boil kettle at 240v. This was a project that had been in the works for a long time so I can't return it now. I just tried it on 12 gallon batch and it scorched... bad. It's going to take some serious work to clean this thing, but guess I don't really have a purpose for it so it doesn't matter. I just hate to throw away a $30 item. Home brewers beware.
Works great in electric brewery

Works great in electric brewery. Installed in 16 gallon kettle and heats up quickly, cleans up great, much better than camco, and after using for at least 50 gallons of beer there is still absolutely no rust.

this element really comes in at 6,000W. Make sure that your wiring can handle the extra power. other than that it works well.
