Well Made Case!
Angel✓ Verified Purchase•May 10, 2018
First off this Case is the updated version of the Explorer 3 Rifle Case YKK 30 inch with different pockets.
The actual outside dimensions of the Explorer Tactical Case I received are 30"L x 11"W x 3.5"D.
The actual outside dimensions of the Explorer 3 Rifle Case YKK 30 inch are 30"L x 13"W x 4.5"D.
The Explorer Tactical Case is basically a version of the Larue Case. I received everything in the picture w/ 5 tie downs. I have no preference over either case. They are both well made. I have been using my first case since 2014 as a range case. Everything works as the day I received it. All the zippers work perfectly. I expect the same results from the Explorer Tactical Case. I have enclosed 3 pics of the Explorer 3 Rifle Case YKK 30 to show the differences between the 2. The inside was made with two different sides and a removeable pad that doubles as a range mat. The 4 outside mag pockects can easily hold three 30rd 5.56 mags each. The middle pocket I use for manuals, tax stamp, and spare parts. Both cases are well made and you can see why I have no preference over either.

Great Case

This is a great case for a pistol w/ arm brace (AR-15/AK/CZ EVO3/Kriss Vector), SBR or even a standard M4 style AR-15 with the upper & lower receivers separated. The dividers and tie downs provided are plenty for configuring the interior as needed. I was able to configure quickly for a nicely balanced weight distribution when carrying. I removed the backpack straps and storing those for the future, right now the hand grip or shoulder sling are perfect for my needs. The construction, materials, stitching, zippers seem to be of very good quality and it certainly appears that the case will be durable. (Time will tell.) I ordered the green even though I thought the color was too bright. I was very happy that it was not the bright green I saw in the Amazon posting picture but closer to the standard dull olive drab green. Plenty of room for your firearm, ammo, and basic range equipment. I highly recommend.
overall nice case

Seems like a very nicely made and sturdy case. Includes backpack straps and a shoulder strap which is nice. Many pockets on the inside and velcro around the outside pocket. There are dividers on the inside that are velcro as well so you can configure it however you like. The dividers are a bit weird however, as it seems like the velcro on the ends of them should be on the other side. This isn't too big of a deal, but it does seem counter-intuitive. Size is ideal. I bought it for my AR-15 carbine length. You can transport your rifle (detached upper from lower of course) without it being painfully obvious that you have a rifle inside. This is useful in urban environments where one may walk to the range, or to and from your car, and you don't want your liberal neighbors to freak out. Or if you just don't want anyone to know your business.
When I received the bag it was covered in dust ...

When I received the bag it was covered in dust and dirt. It took me about 20 minutes to wipe down and make sure it was not mold. The item itself looked used and faded. I have contacted the seller hopefully I can get a refund or something. This is ridiculous.
So much potential and so much fail in one package its staggering.

This case has so much potential its amazing. That potential is crippled by a simple design flaw. There are only 5 loop anchor points around the inside edge of the case. This means that a case that should be infinity configurable really only has a few possible configurations. I find it incomprehensible that they did not simply put loop fastener around the entire inside edge. This and hook fastener on the back side of the tabs of the short dividers would do wonders. Luckily for me I have a heavy sewing machine and should be able to make some changes to mine that will make it better, but to say I am disappointed in what is otherwise a well built case is an understatement.
