Excellent product. I bought this to replace one that broke after 8 years. This can be used as a walking/hiking stick and is really useful when you want to sit in the shade for a while. It is very light so if you want to carry it over your shoulder no problem. Comfort is OK if you are not too large. Not something you would want to sit on for hours at a time. These are in my car at all times.

I have multiple sclerosis for over 30 years and have great difficulty walking a long distance. Instead of a wheelchair, which would be impossible to use in the castles and churches of Rome, I used this cane and found it easy to carry as a cane and easy to open seat, sit and rest, then close. I also used it on the beach at the seaport of Molfetta, and when visiting the Trulli in Alberobello. It was a God sent. Thank you.

This is a great stool! Purchased for my husband with medical issues and he uses it all the time. He keeps one in his Jeep (used it to sit on recently for lunch) and keeps another one in my car. He uses it folded as a cane for stability. And the height of it is perfect for working in the bays of our motor home. This stool is very sturdy and very compact when folded. We love it!

We followed a previous reviewers advice and replaced the one "plastic" foot with a rubber one. This product works great as a seat; my husband was quite happy to use it whenever he needed to sit down. It worked outdoors and indoors equally well. He really wishes the handle were taller or adjustable so that he can also use it as a cane. It's very stable and quite comfortable.

I wanted to like this chair better than the Drive chair with the smaller, harder seat. But in trying them both out, this one was heavier, and taller (I'm 5'5" and this was too tall for me, cannot be adjusted.) My biggest complaint was that in order to fold the seat up and walk with the cane, you have to wrap a velcro strap around the folded up seat (like an umbrella) and then unwrap it every time you sit down. I want it for sitting down periodically when walking, or playing mini golf with the grandkids, so don't want to have to go through this unwrapping the strap and wrapping it up again every time. The other chair opens easily into a sitting position by just pushing down on the top of it, so I'm keeping it and returning this one. If you're taller, and going to be sitting for awhile instead of sitting/standing/sitting/standing, it's probably fine; the seat is a little softer and larger than the other chair so a little more comfortable once you're sitting.
