I balked at paying $28 for an English Muffin splitter. Who pays that kind of money when I can use a fork! Well, a fork makes a real mess and this splitter doesn't; and it's extremely quick and effective. And high quality, too. Metal, not plastic. I hesitated because of the price, but I don't regret it now at all!

This gadget works perfectly. Brought back many fond memories. My mother-in-law had one of these, and it was great to finally find one. May seem a bit pricey, but will last for decades. Wash by hand to retain color.

This splitter works well and will not get all yucky like the plastic-framed one I had before. But of course, a fork works just as well. Must be hand washed, if that's a concern.
