this is a fantastic collar! I bought it for my fat Red Bone Coonhound foster dog. She could easily slip most collars because of her fat neck and little head...not with this one...it stays nice and comfortable on her neck unless any pull is applied then it tightens up. This was a perfect collar for her!

I was looking for a wider collar for my strong staffy mix. She's a rescue with an abusive background and has leash aggression towards men and other dogs. I needed something that was strong but didn't affect or pull on her trachea area. The nylon does slip down her neck even though I make it pretty tight at the very top of her neck but I like the lmaterial nonetheless. It's made well and the color looks great on her since she's mostly black with white markings. If you're looking for a wider martindale this is the collar I would recommend.

I have used martingale collars for many years because I am so afraid of a dog slipping out of a standard collar. This is a wonderful collar. I cannot speak about how it will hold up because it is new, but it is great so far. Many martingale collars are pretty thick which can be difficult to get on and off the dog especially if the collar is wide. This fabric is pretty thin but appears to be sturdy.

This collar was a bit pricey, which caused me some hesitation. Based on other reviews, I decided to make the purchase. We've only had it a few days, but it seems to be well made and is attractive. I like the extra width (1.5"), which seems to improve comfort without sacrificing effectiveness for our Labrador. I'm hoping it lasts a long time, as I don't want to have to spend that much on a collar again anytime soon. The only reason I don't give it five stars is the price, although it comes from a small NC company and is handmade, so one would expect a higher price.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this collar. I have a 1yo rescue, German Shepherd/Greyhound mix...need I say more? Previously I have tried the gentle leaders to no avail as she freaks out with something being placed on her face. I have also tried harnesses to walk but we still struggled with pulling when other dogs walked by. Finally! This collar has done the trick. Perfect to gently remind her not to pull without extreme measures AND its beautiful and well constructed. I will certainly be recommending to all my friends.
