At first, almost every problem that was written about in other reviews happened. After about thirty minutes of playing a cassette., every single problem with it was resolved. It works fine, it's good quality (aside from the door being a little flimsy and hard to close at times), and the auto reverse is great, especially when my tapes haven't been used in many years and the tape is bundled at the bottom for some reason. If you know how to repair a sony walkman, or you can find one in relatively good condition, get one. Otherwise, get this.

I had some cassettes with live lectures that could not be found on CDs so I thought this would be a great way to resolve that. I found it difficult to get the music onto my PC and then after the CD was burned the speed was too fast on some of them and way too slow on others. I did three cassettes and gave up. Perhaps ill try again in the future but more likely considering the quality and the aggravation it will end up in the trash. It's really too bad because I wanted this to work!

For those of you with large tape libraries, this will allow you to convert them to digital files. It also works well as a player with a separate device to broadcast through your FM car radio.

This is a great little portable cassette player & mp3 converter. Nice way to salvage your old beloved tapes. Only wish it had a belt clamp for ease of use when walking around.

Does its job. Not a lot of features, and feels that it may not last for years due to lightweight construction, but a great value.
