If you're heavy handed....

I am not gentle on things so I couldnt have a glass French press. I work in an austere environment and coffee pots run from "ewwwwww" to, well, there isn't one. This is perfect for me (I got the largest one). Makes a full cup of delicious coffee. Just give it a stir once it's done as the denser liquid settles at the bottom. I don't use it to make actual Vietnamese Coffee I use it as my every day brewer at work. Compact, tough just add coffee and hot water. If you're rough on things but need something to make a good cup when not near civilization I highly recommend this.

I purchased a 2 pack of these filters in August of 2016 along with the Trung Nguyen Vietnamese coffee. They produced excellent iced Vietnamese coffee with a small amount of sediment (depends on your coffee grind). The handle on the gravity insert seems a little flimsy but works just fine. One of the filters always seemed to take forever to brew (20 minutes or more). I recently (May 2017) contacted the Fitzy Shop and explained the issue I had. I thought that after nearly a year nothing would be done. I was wrong. Instead, a replacement filter was shipped out immediately and it works beautifully. I can't thank James and the Fitzy Shop enough for the excellent customer service.

I like a good cup of coffee. I enjoy pour over and french press. Did not purchase with intent of making Vietnamese coffee, but just a regular cup. The price was reasonable and Amazon sponsored. Purchased the 11. oz. phin. Have used it for a week. It took a few attempts to learn how it worked. It extracts the oils from the grounds (fresh ground) making a rich, full bodied cup, a plus! Three filter gravity fed process, pulling out all the good stuff. Messy to clean, but the end result negates the cons. Will take traveling as it is compact.

I wanted to get my wife and family something for Mother's Day of all things. 5 of us in the family, ordered 1 to try out. Love this Vietnamese Coffee Filter Set. Looks just like the picture and comes with a handy set of instructions to help get the coffee just right if you have never done it before. We use "Cafe du Monde" which is the same coffee a local Pho restaurant uses for their Iced Coffee that we get all the time. They bring it to the table in one of these Coffee filters and 4 minutes later, we are pouring it over the ice and sweetened condensed milk! I love that the owner reached out directly following the sale to make sure everything was as expected! WIll buy several more to have for family gatherings. Thanks Fitzy Shop!
An Environmentally Friendly Single-Cup Brewer

I bought my first Vietnamese press decades ago, so I was already familiar with how it worked. They also don't wear out if they're kept clean. This press arrived quickly and was packed well for shipment. It also came with a printed set of instructions that were easy to follow. If this is your first press, the instructions will be helpful. this one has more parts than my original one, and worked like a charm.
If you've never tried this, it's a wonderful and environmentally friendly alternative to popular single-cup brewing machines. If you can boil water, you can use this press, and this size brews an ample mug of coffee. It would also be easy to pack for traveling (even camping), and it cleans up easily.
