Great case! I purchased it for my 16" viola, and when I recently upgraded to a 16 3/8" the new one fits perfectly so I can continue to use it. At first I wasn't sure about the ribbons rather than the velcro but they're not hard to work with at all. I've taken this case when traveling on an airline, it fit perfectly into the overhead compartment (I did get early boarding to make sure there'd be space for it.)

I have returned this item. Pros: the case is beautiful, hygrometer functional, well made. Cons: not as light weight, costs $60 to ship it back if you decide not to keep it, very bulky, feels more like a suitcase rather then a fine instrument case. Also, the tip of the bow barely fits through the holding loop, it felt like the bow can easily snap if careful attention is not paid during puting in and out of the case. The main reason for return is how bulky it is and how I cannot picture myself hauling it around for the next 40 years. If it had wheels, it could be rolled and pulled, it is that long. Also, included straps are too short to use as a one strap from top of case to the end of it. If these issues are not a concern to you, this is really a lovely case, very pretty fabric, will probably last a while.

Very pleased with this case. Delivered quickly and was everything we expected.
