Was worried the latches might be rattley or that the lid might not fit perfectly tightly but it did. Feels really solid.
The case did not fit my Bach 42 trombone

The Gator case is very good. I placed my trombone in it and expected that it would work fine. When I closed the top a block of foam that is positioned above the F attachment tubing pushed against the instrument. This required unnecessary force to latch and would have would have weakened the instrument had I stored it this way. I returned the case. Perhaps it fits most trombones but not my Bach 42. See pictures of (unlatched) closed case with gap and foam moulded piece at top of case.
