This bed is a great value. There are a few places where pieces meet up that could use a bit of sanding or some sort of a seal to make it a bit safer, but for the price I don't expect those kind of finishing touches. I have had it up in our spare room for about three months now, paired with Best Price Mattress 9" Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress, Full, White on the platform, and a cheap IKEA mattress on the trundle. We have used it - I would guess for about five weeks with how often the kids have been sick lately. That is about 200 lbs and this bed is proving to be far more solid than I anticipated. I would highly recommend this bed for a spare room or for a smaller-kids rooms. I can easily see this becoming my daughter's bed in a few years when she is ready for her own room.

At first, we were very happy with the purchase. The bed looks great. But after three months there are significant structural issues with the frame, the frame integrity on our bed is sub-par. The bed was used by a preteen with no rough play and sometime over the three months of ownership the frame is compromised severely. We are hoping for a positive outcome with customer service, will update review when resolution is determined.
Update: No action will be taken. No replacement or refund offered. Three months is the apparent life span of this product.

Very pleasantly surprised with the quality and look of this daybed for the price. All parts were labeled and directions were easy to follow. My husband had it together and looking great in about one and a half hours. The bed is very well constructed and is exactly what we wanted for our extra bedroom - it's looks great - the trundle is solid and well made also and slides easily from under the bed. I will caution to make sure you look at the specs because it is good sized and we had to rearrange the room to make it fit - but it was worth it!

If you are searching for a day bed for your in-laws, do not purchase this one. I tried to buy a cheap frame that would squeak all night and sag, but I didn't hear one complaint! "We got a wonderful night's sleep!" "How much did you guys spend on this quality piece of craftsmanship?!" Ugh. Thanks a lot, Dorel Home Furnishings, for producing a bed that my wife's mother thinks would be better than staying at a hotel out in town...

Beautiful bed once you finally get it put together. When the screws don't fit, use the extra size in the packet that aren't included in the instructions. The 800 # is useless, they don't have a clue.
