Used these for a "decorate a block" activity at a baby shower. Perfect size for that. A few came a little rough, but I just gave them a quick light sanding and they were all set. You probably wouldn't have to do that for most projects, but since they were for a baby I wanted them to be very smooth and splinter free.

These blocks were nearly perfect for my project I did. The size was fine but where it says they blocks are smooth and ready for any crafting project is not completely accurate. I was able to use them right away for my project. However, if I had time I may have sanded one or two down because they were not completely smooth. One was more rough but was still able to work well with it. For the price and the fact that it was delivered to me for a craft project I needed to get done. It worked. I would definitely buy again. Only thing is that depending on how smooth you want it, you may need to sand it down a little. It was nothing major but for that reason I had to give it a four. The paint I had also had trouble drying on it as quick as others I have tried. If you have time though and are not in a rush with craft projects these would be a great bargain.

Two weekends ago, the Washington Post printed an article on an easy craft project...taking 6 of the 2" cubes, cutting up 4x6" photos, and making a photo cube puzzle with ModPodge. My granddaughter and I made such a photo puzzle for her father for Fathet's Day. Huge Success!
