I had previously purchased the Vekkia Ultra Bright LED Headlamp Flashlight a couple of years ago and it worked flawlessly until it fell off my table and the LED bulb broke. It worked so well, I purchased another. It's a great light for projects around the house, and I use it alot when I smoke briskets at night. I bought the 2-pack. The single headlamp was $9.95, a 2-pack was $15. It was like BOGO at half-price. I have one for home and the 2nd one is in my truck.

These are surprisingly good for such a great value. I go through headlamps faster than I should (okay, so I misplace them -- I admit it). I need a headlamp with "night vision," which is just a red lamp, and it must come on without cycling through white light. I use these for astrophotography, and even a moment of white light would ruin my night vision for several minutes.
I've had many others, including ones with a cob light (which are hard on batteries) and a relatively pricey brand (think bunny rabbits) that was no better than these.
