After reading the "About the Product," I'm trying to integrate the information I know about Coconut Oil and it's related products. The PA Coconut Cream could also be called coconut butter. After tasting it, I understand why people are crazy about coconut butter. I tried to make it in my Blentec last year, but wasn't patient enough (I don't think.) Did a web search and found out the difference between coconut oil and coconut butter, "Coconut oil is made from the extracted fat of the coconut meat, whereas this butter includes the fibrous shreds of the coconut meat." About the Product says it in a different way, the PA Coconut Cream contains the benefits of the Coconut oil MCT, plus the benefits of the fiber from the coconut meat.

MCT Oil is coconut oil with the long chain fatty acids removed so that it stays in liquid form (also prolongs the shelf life.) It's similar to the Factionated Coconut Oil that I use in my aromatherapy roller balls. I do a low carb diet, so am more confused then ever when I look at the carbs in the various products. I have two MCT oils, one has 14g carbs per tablespoon and the other has none. Coconut Oil jar also says no carbs. PA Coconut Cream has 3.5g per tablespoon, if you do the math.

I do a Pilates class every day. So, I did MCT in my coffee for a few months. Didn't really notice a difference, so I stopped and started to use the MCT oil in my roller balls.

I've been eating the PA Coconut Cream the last few nights with the piece of 90% chocolate I "allow" myself for dessert. Figure they both have significant health qualities. The two flavors enhance one another. To me, the coconut cream tastes like the inside of an Easter egg, but not as sweet, which I prefer. The package has instructions for making coconut milk--measurements for the cream and water. The About the Product makes other suggestions. For me, it's a treat to eat it plain.

I did receive a discount on this product with the expectation that I provide an honest review. This has no bearing on my rating and I review all products as if I had paid full price. My opinions are from my own personal experience with the product and I have no affiliation with the seller.
grainy & pasty texture

This creamed coconut came in a nice retail package. It was to separate 5 oz. packages. The ingredients say the coconut is from the Philippines, Sri Lanka, or Thailand. There are 5 servings pero contained and each one is 210 calories and 180 calories from fat. The coconut is not all cream. The coconut oil separated from the cream when I placed it in the refrigerator. You can tell by the color. The oil has a slight coconut flavor and the cream is slightly sweet and has a grainy/paste kind of texture. The instructions to create fresh coconut milk say to: mix 4 oz. of hot water and 1 oz. of cox cream, blend to even consistency. I made the cream but it still has that grainy texture. I was hoping it would be a velvet texture on my mouth. I added some of the coconut oil, but the texture didn't change. This cream would be good in baking as it can blend pretty well with a batter and maybe not feel the grainy texture. Overall, it's a good product but not meant to create milk out of it.

Am very happy with the texture of this one. Smooooth. The visible separation says it is only coconut, with no stabilizers. I combine 1 cup hot water with 1 warm packet, then stir and keep in a pint mason jar in the fridge. I then spoon out what I need for coffee or smoothies or Thai curry.
