Very Effective Protection.

I have been using the Thai Cup 2.0 for 6 months now for Taekwondo and a bit of Hapkido and BJJ.
Usage: I wear the cup every practice over Adidas athletic boxer briefs. There can be a little bunching of the briefs caused by the elastic leg straps - a small annoyance. Additionally, the cup can press into the lower abdomen during crunches and any bent over stretch which can limit motion in that direction. However, the cup stays in place and after getting used to the pressure between my upper thighs during crossing steps it does not interfere with kicking motions at all. I don't really notice it during kicking drills.
The most important part of the review: It works! I've taken about six kicks to the groin during practice and sparring. The force is well distributed by the cup to the extreme lower abdomen and area surrounding the groin. I know I've been hit and it usually takes a moment to shake off the effect of the blow, but there is no long lasting radiating pain. I consider it highly effective - a hit is only a little worse than taking a strong kick to the outer thigh, a lot less painful and debilitating than a clean shot to the solar-plexus or unprotected groin.
Other notes: Initial adjustment was easy following the video provided by the manufacturer. There was a little fine-tuning of the fit needed, and I have needed to re-tighten the waist strap twice in 6 months of use. The leg loops so far have been set and forget. The interference with crunch type movement can be off-putting. I am 5'7" and 150 Lbs. and on me it can really dig into the lower abdominal wall and can press on my bladder. On that note, make sure you are empty before putting it on. It is a bit of a hassle performing a pit stop when geared up. Lastly, it can be bit of a pain for grappling partners: it creates an uncomfortable pressure point during rear mount - especially if you dig in hooks and extend with your legs -thrusting pelvis forward. And be careful performing arm bars where you pull between the legs - make sure you guide your partners arm "south" below the cup or you will have a ton of leverage to do some real damage.
Overview: Very Effective Protection and the most comfortable guard I've tried. Yes, you know you're wearing one, but it is the most effective type of protection because you will be wearing it rather than leaving it in your equipment bag.

Great idea, but poor execution.

The Lo Bloo is a great concept! I really like the idea of a cup that doesn't require a jock-strap to hold it in place, I can wear this over my underwear and take it off easily.
But the elastic cables that come with it are awfully short, and they wind up pulling the cup down and back between my legs. The lower half of the cup is also far too wide and winds up rubbing the inside of my thighs. I can only wear this cup for about 15 minutes before it gets super irritating.

Best cup I ever owned

Very legit, great protection. I'm a heavyweight (205lbs) and always have trouble with cups because of my unusually large waist (40" waist).
This cup provides great protection and is comfortable and stays in place when throwing any sort of kick.
I haven't tested it with a sledgehammer or anything but the low blows I have received have been mitigated just fine.

It protects really well and it's adjustable, which I like. I won't give it 5 stars because it is a bit annoying to get on and it chafes a bit on the inside of my thighs. I lubed the edges with chap-stick and that helped. I think putting it over boxer briefs might work also.
Great piece of essential equipment

I bought this for my Krav Maga class after using a different, less comfortable one for almost a year. This thing is awesome... I wear it over boxer briefs and it's very comfortable that way.
I've taken a couple of solid shots with both it and my old one, and where the old one would shift enough to cause a little discomfort -- just enough to make me worry that it might get knocked out of place, this one stays in place and does what it's there to do. My sparring partner actually felt the impact more than I did; we had to pause for a second while they rubbed the knot out of their leg.
There's no question in my mind that this thing is great protection. Get it, follow the directions for getting it set up, and proceed with confidence.
