We LOVE this! Our 17 month old loves this toy and runs to it each time we set it up. There are plenty of toys to use on the front and back. In fact, the water cannot pass through all of them in a fluid filled motion if they are all on the same side. It's easy to assemble, lots of toy options and makes the perfect gift. Also, it's very sturdy and doesn't rock or tip when filled.
Our older kids and even the neighbor wanted to play with it. There are many options to rearrange the pieces to make new paths for the water to flow. Very entertaining and provides a good challenge for the kids while using it.
The only con is that there is only 1 bucket that doesn't have holes. This bucket is best used to redistribute water from the bottom of the toy to the top. It would be nice if each side had a cup or bucket without holes to use during redistribution.

This is Fantastic fun for my three year old. She LOVES to play with water. It's one of the few things that occupies her for hours. This is perfect. What really sold me on it was the reviewer who said she put it in the shower for the kids to play. It's winter so this is perfect. My daughter is already in the shower playing up a storm with it. I removed one star bc it doesn't come with enough toys for both sides (I'd pay a little more for that.) and there were no predrilled holes. It worked out fine bc my husband is handy and just drilled them but had I tried to put it together myself I'd have been frustrated. But other than that we love it! We just turned the shower head on for continuous water flow. Extra fun!
Probably wouldnt buy again

So I read the reviews and was prepared for an okay toy. But I really really wanted this for my son and nephew.
I recieved it and put it together with about as much ease as normal step2 toys, which is to not be terribly hard but not easy either. I always use a power drill to screw in my screws with step2 despite it saying to do it by hand.
I also started by making my holes water passes through bigger from the beginning.
Now my mother was there while I put it together and my 3 year old son and 4 year old nephew played the first time.
She was frustrated by this toy. "The water isn't hitting in the right spots as it trickles down?" Yeah I know that was in the reviews. "But why is this hole not lining up?" I dont know but it was in the reviews. Needless to say the reviews were pretty spot on. Pretty okay toy. My son and nephew kind of play with this. My biggest disappointment is how other step2 water toys, with the same connections as this toy don't work for this unit. I have multiple step2 water components I thought would work and they do not fit. Kind of lame.

This is a godsend! The little one loves being outside, especially when there's water Involved to play with. Keeps her entertained, and interested. There's so many different ways you can sent this up, hence why she so interested in it. It's double sided, so two kiddos can play, and plenty of buckets so there's enough to go around. Very easy to assemble, took about 5 minutes to put together. No sharp edges, no toys that can poke, or scratch the little ones. Has a nice wide base which makes it nice and sturdy, especially when water is filled in it. Honestly great toy, especially for summer. Great for any kiddos between 1-5 (with supervision, it involves water after all)...
