Try using superfine dubbing to gently wrap the worm to the hook. There are some good youtube videos which show the process. These worms work just fine, better than most ime. The price is great and a bargain at that. Great selection of colors too.

works great for worm patterns. you do have to be careful when you tie it on your hook, the thread can easily cut through the material. I spin the thread to flatten it out. One criticism, as others have mentioned, it's not straight. Has a waviness to it.

I use these to tie my San Juan worms. You got a ton of material but plan on retying your flies because this stuff falls apart fast, much faster than the stuff at the fly shop. You have to make your wraps very loose not to cut through it.
