Simple wire installation straight to the battery, and the correct power supply being generated make this a good solution for getting power to your devices. Be aware that this means the unit is powered constantly, with no true off or "Kill" switch in the design. This means there will be a conductive power drain on the battery. It will be a small drag, but something to keep in mind if you don't ride year round or use a battery tender.
