The company that sold it did not include directions for the small batches as described in the advertisement. I emailed them and they blew me off. It was not precision food group that sold it to me it was Bay Area Marketplace. I dinged them in the seller feedback. Having been to Disney World many many times and having eaten too many Dole whips I was happy to see the actual product for sale to the public. I did the math to calculate what was needed to make the small batches for my 1.5 quart cuisinart soft serve ICE-45. I calculated two recipes one for 1 quart and 1 for 1.5 quarts. I used purified filtered water and mixed it in a large pyrex bowl and whisked the heck out of it. . After mixing I placed the lid on and put the mixture into my freezer for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Every 15 minutes I pulled it out and gave it a good whisk to thoroughly mix any that may have frozen. The freezer bowl for the machine was kept at -10 degrees for 24 hours. Then I added the mix it to the cuisinart and after 12 to 15 minutes we had the perfect Dole whip soft serve texture and the flavor was exactly like at Disney. We bought the very small cans of Dole pineapple juice and poured it over top and made the Dole whip Float. I had learned in the past that to get a good quality soft serve before the tub warms up it is better to get the mix super chilled. The downside is after 20 minutes you will need a spoon to scrape it out. There were no large ice crystals in the final product just perfect pineapple Dole whip. I highly recommend this product if you love Dole whips. Now I need my mouse ears.
amazing great flavor

Used 1 3/4 cup of soft serve mix, plus 2 cups of water, mixed for 2 minutes, two more cups of water, mixed again, 20-25 minutes with 1.5gl ice cream machine, amazing great flavor. Put the rest in the freezer, pull it out for 10 minutes and scoop more then next day for a second bowl.
A hit with the kids!

I was so excited to find this product. I spend $5 for a 4-oz cup of this yumminess at the movie theatre, so this will save a lot of money. It is a big bag that is supposed to made at once, so I had to experiment a bit for the best consistency. I found that 8 ounces of the mix (by weight on a kitchen scale) plus 28 ounces of cold water worked great. I run the ingredients in the blender and place them in my 1.5-quart Cuisinart ice cream maker for 25 minutes. I then freeze the results for an hour. The outcome is the perfect texture. The only thing missing is the swirls. :)
Great stuff. Did NOT come with directions as advertised. Worked well in KitchenAid freezer bowl.

This stuff is amazing. Mine did not come with instructions for making smaller amounts, the package only showed instructions for using the entire package with a large softserve machine. After looking at some of the other reviews, I figured it out. I mixed 8 ounces of the dry powder (I used a digital kitchen scale to do this by weight, and it ended up being somewhat over one cup of dry mix) with 2 cups of water, using a whisk for two minutes. Then I added two more cups of cold water.

I made this in my KitchenAid stand mixer with the freezer bowl attachment. It is very important for the freezer bowl to be completely frozen; the first time I attempted this, I had only had the freezer bowl in the freezer for about five hours. I figured that was enough, as it seemed solid, but the texture of the final product ended up being somewhat coarse. I tried it again after following the manufacturer's directions to have the freezer bowl in the freezer for 15 hours, and also refrigerated the liquid mixture to be sure it was completely cold. With this setup, the finished product ended up with an extremely fine, creamy texture, which would be very difficult to distinguish from Dole whip purchased from a retailer with a professional softserve machine. It tasted exactly the same, and is really wonderful stuff.
Easy to make. Adding dairy is unnecessary and inauthentic. I used cheap ice cream maker not specific for soft serve.

This is easy to make. I have an old cheap 1 quart ice cream maker. It is the Sunbeam Sunbeam GC8101 Gel Canister Ice Cream Maker (https://smile.amazon.com/Sunbeam-GC8101-BLS-1-Quart-Canister-Cream/dp/B004VFHNNW).

I used 5 oz. of mix and 2 cups of refrigerated water. I slowly added the 5 oz. mix to one 1 of refrigerated water while whisking. This technique incorporated the mix well. I added the other cup of refrigerated water. The mix had almost no viscosity when I put it into the ice cream maker. I ran the ice cream maker, and it was done after I checked it 30 minutes later. I was shocked how well it worked. The viscosity increased dramatically. It was pretty close in texture to the Dole Whip from the commercial machines.

I do not understand why some people are adding dairy. One of the main features of the Dole Whip is that it is dairy free. If you want it to taste like Disneyland or the Dole Plantation, do not add dairy.

I put some in the freezer, and it did not get hard. It was still pretty soft. This product is almost magic.
