For the price, a no-brainer!

Great price, a bit dodgy on the assembly instructions, though. Once assembled though, it tore through my 3-year neglected, 200 sqft garden patch very readily, tilling it to a nice fluffy bed. Just recently, used it to cultivate between the rows by removing the outer tines, and it was very nimble and easy to maneuver.

One gripe, and the reason I knocked off a star, is that you have to partially disassemble the handle to remove the tine shields..
Powerful, cost effective, very helpful tool and arm stretcher!

Assembly - a little fiddly, but not overly, can be done with one person easily. Use a wrench set, no power tools if you are not familiar with setting torsion, you'll crush the handles!

Amazing, great value for Money. We had a lot of roots in a newly cleared area for a vegetable patch. It's got plenty of power - yes it nearly ripped my arms from my body as it tore the roots out of the ground, and yes as expected some of them did get wrapped around the tines. However, what would've taken a day to prepare a 20ft by 80ft hard packed grassed area was completed in a couple of hours over 2 days (rest break / allowed some moisture to sink in) - this has become a corn patch. As for our existing vegetable garden, it dug down deep and mixed in last years compost, decomposed roots, chicken poop etc.. very nicely. Typically a days work to turn and dig in was a couple of hours, over two days, after watering a little and allowing it to settle.

The ground is so light and fluffy, rich in nutrients ( pitch black ) the vegetables and very happy and weeding is a breeze. No longer digging out roots for packed dirt!

Removed the outer two rotors for 'weeding' between rows, had to back-off the gas as to not not 'eat everything' - very quick exercise, worked wonders so not as much round-up needed this year.

HINT: when starting off a fresh area, let the Tiller DIG-DOWN a few in inches by holding it in place, this will lighten the stress on your arms with it running away on hard packed dirt. Let it move along at it's own pace, WARNING hold tight if there are roots it will bounce and throw dirt, keep everyone far away. NOTE: keep clogged grass and roots off the rotors, you can tell if its blocking up by listening to the engine working harder, turn-off, tip it back and pull out anything that is wrapped around anything (look close to where the rotors are connected together)

This thing is a power house for its small size. I love it. Finally can do my garden without working more on the tiller than the tilling. This is the 2nd one I have bought. I pull starting. Very simple assembly. Very ease to lift into a truck for transport. My first one would not crank after leaving the gas in it half the summer & all winter without cranking. I am no mechanic, but I ordered a OEM carburetor for $32 online. I drained the gas, put the carb on myself in about 15 minutes & put fresh gas in it & it cranked on first pull. I use it all the time.
Versatile & Strong - can be used both as a plower as well as a tiller - 5 Stars!

When I saw the reviews for it on youtube they were not very encouraging - but they did not depict the right picture. This is an excellent and powerful tiller. It also has a plow lever in the back which can be adjusted according to how deep you want to till the land. That lever when it goes into the ground creates a balancing force as the tiller automatically pushes to move forward because of the front rotors resulting in less handling force required by the person operating it. All in all it's a very powerful, versatile tiller & plower. It can be used in different ways: heavy tilling and plowing with the use of third plow lever in the back or for light tilling with only front rotors (which can even be reduced to two from four - depending upon how light you want to till). 5 Stars!

just a little problem in the shipping (no fault of Earthquake) earthquake help desk is the greatest. They were quick to send me the missing parts.
I assembled it in the morning time (im an old geezer) just fine. I would have given EarthQuake a 3 or a 4 rating but since they resolved my issues and after filling it with motor oil and topping it with petrol I pull of the chord and it started on the first pull.!!! Amazing. As far as the tine bolts I was wondering about them sheering. read one review said they did . But if it happens to me; will be an easy fix Ill just get case hardened bolts. That should do the trick. Keep in mind it hadnt happened to me yet. This is a nice light to medium tiller/cultivator. TO use it to break hardened ground the first time would be a mistake. It is well balanced so wont lean over when turning. This hummer is well built and I expect it to last well beyond the warranty. To earthquake and versa folks good job guys
