Scales that can weigh over 300lbs are few and far between, so I was excited to find this product with such good reviews.
After receiving the scale, setup and use were simple, the display is very readable and most importantly it appeared very accurate.
I was very impressed and pleased with my purchase, until about 1 month later when all I could get the scale to read was ERR.
I tried resetting and recalibrating it and moving it to different surfaces. I even tried having my wife try it who is much smaller than me and uses another regular scale with no problem... still ERR.
Perhaps I just happened to get a defective one, but still, very disappointing.

I honestly wanted to love this scale. I like that it is extra wide, I like that it beeps when it locked on to your weight, they are little things, but are great features.
For lighter people (like half of the capacity or less) it worked GREAT! It would zero in on the weight every time, and would beep within 2 seconds. I weigh >100lbs LESS than the scale capacity of 550lbs. MAYBE once out of 30 times getting on the scale it would lock on to my weight and beep. The other times it would shut off after a few seconds unable to lock into my weight (kept fluctuating until it shut off). I was as still as I could be, I tried different feet positioning, and nothing worked. I really hated to send it back.

This scale looks good, seems study and well built. I gave it 3 stars because of the poor design of the battery cover. All you have to do is step hard on the scale and the battery becomes misaligned or the cover opens and the batteries fall off. The problem is that if you didn't know this and a misalignment occurs, your first instinct is to think that the scale is "already dead?", then opening and realigning the batteries, the scale wakes up again. I think the designers made this flimsy for easy access when the battery needs changing. My opinion: BIG MISTAKE! Please redesign; I have even seen screws, though I wouldn't make that a preference!
Not Effective for Heavier Customers

Works very poorly. It changes my weight randomly within about a 10 pound difference. I have calibrated it multiple times and tried the bathroom, kitchen, hardwood living from, and concrete patio outside. Outside is the only one that at least gives me consistent measurements. I tried to contact customer support from their website and they stated that I had the wrong company? I regret purchasing it.
Too big. Beeps too loud. Stopped working after barely a year.

This got great reviews but I was sorry I bought it almost as soon as it arrived. It really is much larger than we need. I don't see any advantage in a wide scale when a regular one fits us fine. And the beep when it's used is annoying when it's located adjacent to a bedroom. But worst of all, it stopped functioning after barely a year. We thought it was just the batteries so we changed them. It still is making very weird readings. Going to buy a different model at Bed Bath and Beyond where I can return nonfunctioning appliances 30 days or more after purchase.
