It's just OK, but I don't think it's worth the price compared to other less expensive irons. The one thing I do like is that the water tank holds more water than most irons. What I don't like is the retractable cord. After using irons that have a cord swivel in the handle, I find one without the feature to not work quite as well. We leave our iron on the ironing board all the time, so that feature doesn't help us. The big thing I don't like about this is that there is no indicator that the iron has reached temp. They say "wait 2 minutes", but this is the only iron I've ever used that doesn't have an indicator telling you when the usable temp is reached. This should be a $15 iron, nothing more.
Great Product!

Great Iron. I iron clothes for 2 for work 5-7 days a week. I have to buy a new iron about once a year - been getting $20-30 irons. Paid a little more, got a MUCH better iron. Seems to go through a lot of water (TAP water, per directions), but that's because it REALLY steam presses. I just keep a couple of water bottles by the ironing board.
Heavier, LOTS of steam (we wear almost all cotton), great for smoothing out stiff items that got left in the dryer. Has a slide to close the opening where the water goes in on the front. Had to get used to that - my cheaper irons had the hole in the top and no 'lid.' Instructions do say to empty the water after each use. I don't do that, as I iron pretty much daily, but I think this one will last longer than the cheaper ones. (Assuming no pets run into the ironing board and knock the (cold) iron onto the floor again. VERY HAPPY. Super shiny and I like the bright blue-green color, too.

Solid Iron

Pros:
Reliable heat settings.
Great glide.
Steam options are great as well.
Cons
Feels a bit clunky. I am pretty small so that might play into the equation.
The cord winds dangerously quickly.

Safety issue- buyer beware!

To be fair, I did not order this from Amazon, I purchased it at Target. I am leaving this review on Amazon because I believe this iron may be potentially dangerous. I have purchased two of this model in the last two months. I had the exact same problem both times. The first had the problem so I returned it thinking it was a random defect. I purchased a replacement and had the exact same thing happen. The iron worked great for me, but I soon noticed it always left a strong, weird smell in the air. It wasn't long before I noticed that the front end of the iron was actually melting. Apparently it was overheating and causing the front part of the iron to literally melt. Just like the first one, I returned it for a full refund. I plan to notify Sunbeam as well as the CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION.
If it hadn't been for this defect I would've loved the iron. It worked well and looked great, but certainly not worth having your house burn down.
Please see the attached photos of the melted and deformed iron.

RETRACTING CORD SUCKS

I ENDED UP NOT LIKING THE RETRACTING CORD. 1. ITS NOT LONG ENOUGH AND 2. IT DOESNT WANT TO GO BACK IN. IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER I WOULD NOT GET THE RETRACTING CORD
