WARNING FOR BUGS! DO NOT BUY!!!
A-M R.May 12, 2018
After receiving it I gave a good review but now I am going back with a warning: Since I didn't use it right away I kept it in the original sealed plastic bag that it came into. One day as I was going to bake bread I discovered to my horror that bugs and bugs and bugs were swarming inside the sealed bag. I ran with the whole thing to the trash bin. NO MORE "MADE IN CHINA" FOR ME.
Perfect for Sourdough Bread Proofing.

Totally what I expected. They have a funky smell upon opening, but I just let them air out. I'm new to baking sourdough bread from starter to finished product, and these were not disappointing.
Mediocre quality but gets the job done.

Mine has this weird coating on it, almost like a paint, which comes off on my sour dough if I don't dust it with enough flour.
If you make bread regularly you should have one of these.

I really like this basket. I love to make bread and recently I started experimenting with different types of breads and a new recipe called for proofing in a basket like this. I'm hooked. I love the little rings it leaves in the bread. The dough does not stick (it's floured) and the more I use them the more they are seasoned for non-stick (don't wash with soap and water). I now have 3 different shapes of these proofing baskets. Wish I'd done it years ago.
Turns out great looking loaves.

Perfect for Banneton formation. There is a tricky balance in hydration level of loaves. I have found that anything over about 75% hydration will stick, no matter how much flour it's pre treated with.
