Nice size and weight
Ben G.•March 29, 2018
Nice size and weight, head was a little loose on the handle. I purchased some tool handle epoxy, which is viscous enough to drip down into the joint without dissassembly. I would also recommend wrapping the handle with para-cord or hockey tape as its a little too skinny for my large hands.
Not ready to be used.

I should have read the reviews before I bought. Handle is loose and the head is poorly ground. Rather than being a well made hatchet it is more like a hatchet project. I thought I was buying a tool instead I now have a hobby turning this into a tool.
Pretty Good.

Ok, this ax has the cool factor of the viking style ax head. For a 19" it swings nice and has a nice heft to it. The handle is very comfortable and the ability to choke up on it for detailed tasks is nice. I used this ax for a weekend in the mountains and found it to be just about perfect for bush craft. Its light in the pack, I think will be a trusted companion for years.
the only thing i didn't like is that the head is not tight on the handle. there is a little wobble to mine. I'm hoping over time this will improve or i would just squirt some epoxy into the void to make it more sold. i really don't like having to try and repair items right out of the box but these days it seems to be the normal.
all things considered its a nice ax.

Good size, heft, mediocre mount job

I like the size and head design, but the handle was loose. So for safety reasons I removed the steel wedges and re-seated the head another 1/4" at least. The handle was quite nice with excellent grain and the addition a leather wrap makes it perfect in the hand. It It also required a final sharpening. After the addition of a proper sheath and handle wrap i really like the look and feel. I enjoyed the project, but think its overpriced for the poor quality mount job
Great little pack axe

Love the weight and shape, just a wonderful little axe. The complaints of the axe coming dull are just people not realizing after it was sharpened the dipped it in varnish to prevent rust, so the varnish dried over the edge make it feel dull, when in fact one u use it and the coating ribs off, the she is actually pretty good.
