This is one of those tools that you only miss and wish you had one (or a better one) when you need it. For years, I only wished and didn't have. Guess I never got around to getting one. But this nicely made awl is a keeper. I like it, it fits my work well, and use it often. High quality, easy to handle, and doesn't roll away when set down. Sharp, finely-honed point. The only possible drawback is that while the black handle is attractive, I'd like it to be red or some other color so I can more easily find the tool in the shop.
