I had a weird allergic reaction on my hand after handling these, but I've had problems with certain metals before (belt buckles and chain jewelry, specifically) so I'm fairly sure it's not actually something wrong with the product. I wrapped the handles with some light duct tape and unless it throws the balance off it shouldn't be an issue, they're more comfortable to hold when wrapped anyway.

My husband does knife and tomahawk throwing as a hobby, I bought these as a Christmas gift and one of the two broke within 5 minutes of him throwing them at a stump he uses at a target. The head and handle completely separated. I'm so sad! Not sure if this is common but we had high hopes considering it was labeled as a throwing axe and are now disappointed.
Save your money and buy something of better quality.

Save your money and buy something that is of better quality. Extremely cheap. These came in today and I wanted to try them out. I ordered 3 pair of them (6 total). Two of them broke on the first throw and a third one broke on the second throw. The target is made of 2x12 boards glued together (not pressure treated) so there is nothing that should have caused this to happen. After that I didn't even bother opening the last package. Worst thing I have bought in a long time. Will be returning.

Terrible quality.. Bought two sets of these Perfect Garbage throwing axes. EVERY single one of these things broke off right below the head. Four axes and they are all broken after throwing them around 5 times or so into a slice of a stump as a target. I was only standing about 15 feet away, very dangerous. DO NOT BUY, save your money for something that won't break the first time you use it.

Light weight and fast!!! If you're firmiliar with throwing axes and knives, you may have seen better quality metal on other weapons, but for the price, these things are sweet. I can hurl these guys into a tree from 30-40 yards away in a blur. So light and well balanced. They will break if thrown at other metal or rock. But Iv yet to have any break from being thrown at wood. Iv already bought 5 packs and will probably keep doing so until I find others that impress me.
