The Real Deal (And Just In Time)

I was recently diagnosed with metatarsalgia, just in time for an overseas vacation that will entail walking most of the day for over a week. I was panicking. I looked at different options, and decided to try these pads since they'd arrive a few days before vacation. I'm glad I took the chance - these are perfect for me. The ring that goes around the toe to hold the pad in place is one piece with the soft gel pad itself so I don't feel it at all, and the pads themselves are amazing and do just what they're supposed to do. I expected them to be thicker but they don't need to be - after wearing them for a couple of days nonstop, I'm convinced that my feet will be pain-free on vacation. Even better, I thought "two pieces" meant a left pad and right pad, but what you get is two sets of two pads! I'm relieved and impressed.

First let me say I did a lot of internet research and asked around where I work - I was told to buy these. I have been suffering with foot pain for several months, could hardly walk at times. I put them on, stood up INSTANT RELIEF!
You really need to ware good fitting socks over the pads, at least I do, to hold them in place. I had to kind of roll the sock on from my toes to keep them in the right place. Totally worth few extra seconds added to getting ready for work in the morning. They are a very soft gel, not hard at all, very comfortable to wear. I thought the ring around my toe would bother me - don't even know its there!
Dr. Frederick's is on my reorder list now.

I ordered these pads on a whim because they were such a great deal in my "today's special" offers. I have a Morton's neuroma on the bottom of my foot that developed from an incision site following a fibular seismoid resection. After wearing the pads for a solid two weeks, I have had great relief from pain during normal walking motion. I do believe I will have to have further surgeries to correct the actual problem, the pads provide me with much needed relief from every day pain. These are very easy to use and clean. I would highly recommend these to anyone suffering from metatarsal discomfort. The customer service follow-up has also been exemplary.

I recently started having immense pain in the ball of my foot from an overuse injury. A Google search told me it was most likely metatarsalgia. I tried to rest but I'm way too active to actually quit the gym for 6 weeks. I went from running to the elliptical machine thinking the lower impact exercise would help. My foot was still killing me. It was so swollen that I couldn't walk barefoot around the house. I decided to try these gel pads because I read a review that they helped someone else. I can't believe the difference it makes on my foot! I haven't tried running yet but I can stay on the elliptical for an hour with zero pain. I have no issue walking my dog anymore and I wear them under socks and walk around the house with no shoes and feel nothing. They wrap around your toe and stay put fairly well. When I know I'm going to be seriously active, like to secure it in place with some KT tape. They wash off very easily and are made of a very silky rubbery material. It's too soon to tell if its actually helping my foot HEAL but its certainly stopping the pain right now and has dramatically improved my workouts. Can't thank the company enough!

I held off writing a review until I wore this with a number of different shoes. For me, they can be a bit thick depending on the shoe. Also, when I try to wear them with a tall leather boot, the silicone stretches out and doesn't stay in the place that works best for my foot issues. Having morton's neuroma I tend to just keep shopping for something that will give me lasting comfort. I believe these are a good product, I just don't think they will work for me.
