I've had this cleaner for a few months now and couldn't be happier with it. I replaced an older suction-side cleaner that picked up very little debris and would get stuck in various corners of my pool routinely. The Dolphin Premier is simply fabulous. It gets everything in the pool (I've only used the leaf bag since it's fall), including leaves, dirt, berries, pine needles etc. It has never gotten stuck on either of my pool's drains, and never gets stuck in any of my pools "sharper" corners. I run it 2-3 times a week at most for 3 hours each time and my pool looks like it was vacuumed each time the cleaner finishes it's cycle. It also cleans the pools walls, a fascinating process to watch. My only "complaint" is that I generally feel compelled to clean the filter bag after each use (a 5 minute prices with the hose) because this cleaner picks up so much debris and dirt. It's expensive yes, but worth every penny. It has also allowed me to shut down the dedicated motor for my previous suction cleaner which I ran 4 hours daily (28 hours per week of energy saved). You won't be disappointed in this cleaner...it's a real workhorse that does a fantastic job cleaning the bottom and sides of my pool.

I really wanted to like this product. I live in South Florida and Hurricane Irma blew my lanai cage apart and I desperately needed something to compensate and clean the pool well. Instructions tell you not to swim in the pool during the Dolphin's operation. I can see why. I went in with a snorkel mask and watched it work. It didn't. 95% of particles, debris, that should have been vacuumed up were just scattered by the Dolphin. It didn't clean the corners, I didn't even expect it to, but I did expect it to be able to vacuum the pool bottom in the very least. When you pull the Dolphin out of the water, regardless of how fast you try to do it, the small amounts of debris it did vacuum up, flows back into the pool through the bottom. I didn't want to spend $1,100.00 on a vacuum but was willing to. I also bought the Dolphin caddy, which is "unreturnable". In all fairness to Amazon, they are refunding my money for the pool caddy, though it isn't returnable. Thank you Amazon.

I had two Polaris after 4 years they both stopped working at the same time so I did some search online and dolphin premier was recommended.
Its filter volume is too small compared to polaris, it is hard to access the filter, it just hangs out in the middle of the swimming pool, it does not got to two ends of the pool.
I have to move it with remote to the sides of the pool so it cleans those areas.
Good thing is that it does not get stuck on the top of the drains in the pool and it does not get stuck on the stairs in the pool.
I guess I am going to keep it because of the 3 years warranty compared to polaris which was 2 years.

Love my dolphin.. I just closed my pool but had my dolphin for the full summer season.. this bit did a great job for leaves and all the junk that falls in the pool.. one of the features that I like the best is that it moves more water around the pool in places that the filter system normally can't get to..so less Alger too..
Over all I was really happy with this little guy.. though he does seem confused when I drop him in and does not get to the full pool (though I have not watched for the full 1,2, or 3 hour cycle the whole time)
Glad we made this purchase as pool season was less of a chore this summer.

Our old dolphin died after 5 years. This one cleans much better and climbs to the top of the tile like a billy goat. This is a must have for all pool owners.
