Just as cheap and wobbly as the rest
Jes✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 29, 2017
Very disappointing. Go straight out and buy your own screws. The screws they sent with it are the standard cheap Chinese garbage screws. Pre-drilling the holes leads to the screws loosening over time. Not pre-drilling the holes quadruples your chances of sheering the head off the screws (especially the cheap ones they send).
Make sure someone VERY handy installs this for you. The installation is simple enough, but knowing how to get it right enough so it doesn't wobble takes above average skills. Big even if you an expert carpenter installing it for you the first hung they'd do is recycle the cheap Chinese slides and go buy better ones.
Okay. No template makes install unnecessarily difficult.

I used to install these for a living when I worked as an ergonomist. It's an "okay" product... can't believe it doesn't come with a paper template to define where predrilling should happen. Consequently, difficult for one person to align, predrill, and install.

Also the locking lever is kind of hard to reach -- I think the idea is once you've set the height you leave it, but if your optimum height of the platform causes your keyboard to hit the mechanism or the desktop when you push it under, you'll be adjusting it often and the lever is awkward.

All that said, since my wife is shorter, she has the keyboard low and doesn't have to adjust it often. So in the end, it seems to work, is stable, and pretty well made.

Just def not a high end unit.
Cheap soft aluminum screws and terrible instructions not worth the high price
Pro Comp✓ Verified PurchaseJune 3, 2017
Not worth the money. Can tell this came direct from a Chinese factory. You have to use a power screwdriver/drill to achieve the torque needed to screw the base into the bottom of the desk. Although I had the torque set very light several of the screw heads stripped because they ship cheap soft aluminum screws and don't even think to include a couple of extra screws. The screws are so soft that it is virtually impossible not to strip the heads. They are too cheap to include good quality steel screws.

Although I restore engines and can easily figure out assembly instructions these were terrible. Straight from the Chinese factory, if you are not an experienced mechanic good luck trying to figure it out. The assembly instructions are useless.

No padding on the keyboard tray and no room to add one. The knob for the mouse platform hits your leg.

Not a quality piece of hardware.
Fatally flawed design
John Z✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 14, 2016
When I took a gamble on this my primary concern was that it would be too wobbly or "sag," this did not occur. But the design is fatally flawed in other ways.

What you will notice first is that there is a HUGE hinge right where your knees go (picture 1) and after four of five excruciating whacks I have given up. This alone is enough reason to return it.

Bizarrely there is no thumb screw to adjust the mouse tray, you have to use a wrench. There is a thumb screw to slide the tray left-or-right but not to adjust the tilt. (picture 2)

In addition, a huge and very sharp screw protrudes from the left side (picture 3.)

And, to add insult to injury I'm expected to pay return shipping.

Stay away.

(Also, the company issues VERY creepy emails. Amazon REALLY needs to crack down on marketplace seller email it's getting annoying.)
This product is very sturdy and well built
The Book Man✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 11, 2016
This product is very sturdy and well built. It is very flexible in its use. One thing I would do differently would be to mount the support back a few inches so when pushed back under the desk it is completely hidden. If you mount it flush to the front of the desk, it sits out an inch or two when fully pushed back under the desk. Also, you need to know that the tray for the mouse sits and inch to 1 1/2 inches about the keyboard. It doesn't bother me, but it may not be what you are looking for. The instructions are not the easiest to follow. One thing you need to do is to take off the two stops on the mount, remove the adjustable arm and then mount the bracket to the underside of the desk. It doesn't tell you to do that in the instructions. The biggest complaint was trying to get the two screws into the under side of the board that holds the keyboard. There is a bar in the way that makes it difficult to tighten.

They do give you additional screws, washers, nuts and bolts. That is helpful!

Overall, beside the difficult assembling the keyboard mount, this is a very versatile under desk keyboard tray!
