Short review:
I'm using a 1 degree differential with a 70 degree heating target, and every time it hits 69 it turns on the heater and then turns off at exactly 70. I can't ask for much more than that!
Additional thoughts:
As some have said the manual is a little hard to follow, but setup is very straightforward. The only thing I missed at first is to press and hold the setup button again when you're finished in order to save the changes.
One of my first reactions was if that if the device displays temperatures in tenths of a degree, there should be finer range settings than 1 degree increments. However, as I've watched the the device controlling fermentation for the last few weeks, I've decided that finer control is really a higher level of temperature control hardware for the entire process and this controller is actually well matched for similar level heating and cooling systems.
For my purposes this has been a great entry level controller and using a basic heating belt the fermentation temperature has stayed in a 2 degree range for a 5 gallon bucket of wort. (The 68-70 range is larger than set in the controller because the belt can't keep up with overnight temperature drops.)

I love this controller. The temperature swing is programmable, so I am able to dial in exactly the temperature I need - set it and forget it.
Works well. Very happy with it.

Works really well. I am so happy to leave the lcd sticker thermometer behind. I will likely get another as I ramp up my brewing.
